Placements24 is seeking a hands-on Field Operations Technician to support energy infrastructure in the Upington area. The role focuses on day-to-day maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting of production facilities and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

You will perform inspections, respond to alarms, assist with start-up and shut-down, and maintain logs. A technical qualification and at least 3 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas or related industries are required, with

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years in operational or maintenance role in Oil & Gas or related industries.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
Strong commitment to safety and environmental best practices.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on production equipment and facilities.
Monitor operational parameters and respond to alarms or deviations promptly.
Assist with the start-up and shut-down of equipment and process units.
Conduct basic troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues.
Ensure compliance with all company safety regulations and environmental procedures.
Maintain accurate logs and reports of maintenance activities and operational status.
