About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Field Operations Manager to oversee upstream operations in the vicinity of Randburg . This senior leadership role is responsible for the safe, efficient, and profitable execution of all field production and operational activities. You will lead a team of operational staff, manage budgets, and ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and environmental regulations within the Oil & Gas industry . This is a key position that requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a strategic approach to optimizing production and asset performance in the Gauteng province .

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all aspects of field production operations, including well management, facility operations, and maintenance.


• Develop and implement operational plans and budgets to achieve production targets and cost objectives.


• Ensure the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental performance are maintained.


• Lead, mentor, and develop field operations personnel, fostering a high-performance team culture.


• Oversee the management of contractors and service providers engaged in field operations.


• Monitor operational performance, analyze data, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.


• Minimum of 10 years of experience in upstream oil and gas operations, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.


• Proven track record of managing complex field operations and achieving operational targets.


• Strong understanding of production optimization, artificial lift systems, and surface facility operations.


• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.


• Knowledge of HSE management systems and regulatory compliance in the Oil & Gas sector .
