Job summary

Computers 4 U in George is seeking a strong and organized Technical Operations Manager (IT) to oversee daily field operations, covering fibre, CCTV, access control, networking and installations for businesses, estates and households along the Garden Route.

You will coordinate technicians, manage CRM updates and service SLAs, ensure jobs are completed for invoicing, monitor stock, and drive timely project delivery with a hands-on technical background.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is required.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• 3-5 years' experience in field service, technical operations, installations, service delivery, or project coordination.
• Proven experience managing technicians or field teams.
• Strong planning, scheduling, and follow-up skills.
• Strong admin and systems discipline.
• Excellent client communication skills.
• Technical background in IT, fibre, CCTV, security, networking, or telecoms.

Responsibilities

• Daily planning and scheduling of technicians.
• Running the morning operations meeting.
• Ensuring jobs are correctly updated in the CRM.
• Checking job notes, photos, time tracking, stock usage, and job statuses.
• Ensuring work is completed properly for invoicing.
• Managing stock requirements and inventory.
• Managing project timelines and deliverables.
• Reducing missed bookings, incomplete jobs, and poor client communication.
• Reporting daily operational metrics to management.
