Job summary

Smollan is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead field execution across store networks in the Western Cape, driving promotional activities and planogram adherence. The role focuses on optimizing in-store execution and stakeholder engagement to boost sales and market presence.

The position involves expense control, team supervision, and ensuring efficient day-to-day store operations with strong client feedback and collaboration.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years’ Operations experience in FMCG environment at a managerial/supervisory level.
• Diploma or degree at NQF level 6 or 7 is required; Code 08 driver’s licence is a must.

Responsibilities

• Control cell phone/telephone expenses and other costs including overtime.
• Identify and act on new business opportunities; plan and implement sales operations based on data.
• Monitor and negotiate store listings and promotions; distribute trade presenters to field force and customers.
• Ensure timely implementation of promotions and POS materials; monitor stock and shelf health.
• Manage staff in-store communication and feedback; provide regular client feedback.
• Lead and manage field teams to achieve sales targets and ROS.
• Monitor and drive planograms, category flows, and stock levels in stores.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure efficient resource allocation.
