Placements24 is seeking an accomplished Field Operations Manager in Soweto, Gauteng, responsible for safe, efficient, and cost-effective field operations across production, maintenance, and logistics.

You will lead large teams, optimize performance, ensure HSE compliance, and drive budgets, contracts, and stakeholder engagement in a high-impact Oil & Gas context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical) or related technical field.
• Master's degree or MBA is a plus.

• Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant execution of all operational activities.

About the Role

Our client, a pivotal organization within the Oil & Gas industry, is actively seeking an experienced and dynamic Field Operations Manager to oversee critical energy infrastructure operations in the Soweto, Gauteng area. This senior leadership position is responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective management of field operations, including production, maintenance, and logistics. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record in managing large teams, optimizing operational performance, and ensuring strict adherence to HSE regulations. • Proven experience in leading and managing large operational teams in a demanding environment.
• Strong understanding of production operations, maintenance practices, and logistics.
• In-depth knowledge of HSE management systems and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and decision-making skills.
• Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience operating within the South African regulatory and operating context is essential.
• Must hold valid work authorization for South Africa .
