Job summary

Wild Dreams Hospitality seeks an NQF2 guiding professional actively working towards NQF4 to join a Big Five reserve with a strong guest-focused team. The role emphasizes safety, storytelling, and excellent guest rapport on a live-in basis in KwaZulu-Natal or willing relocation to Gauteng.

Experience is an advantage but not required; a great cultural fit and collaboration within the guiding team are valued highly. Live-in accommodation with meals and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct game drives for guests, with walking safaris to follow later this year.
• Ensure guest safety at all times within a Big Five environment.
• Share knowledge of local flora, fauna and conservation with guests.
• Build genuine rapport with a largely international and loyal, repeat guest base.
• Maintain guiding vehicles and equipment to a high standard.
• Work closely with a capable, experienced team of guides.

Job description

This is a wonderful opportunity to join an experienced guiding team on a Big Five reserve that has held the number one TripAdvisor ranking for nine consecutive years; the lodge places as much value on the right personality and fit as it does on formal experience. Guiding couples will also be considered.

Core Criteria:

• NQF2 guides actively working towards their NQF4
• Experience is an advantage, not a requirement; a strong cultural and team fit matters most
• Based In, or willing to relocate to, KwaZulu-Natal or Gauteng
• Sound knowledge of Big Five game viewing and guest safety protocols
• Warm, engaging guest interaction and strong storytelling ability
• A collaborative team player who will thrive within an established guiding team

• Salary: R8,5k depending on qualification and experience
• Live-in position; own en-suite room and all meals included
