Wild Dreams Hospitality in Hluhluwe, South Africa, is seeking a hands-on lodge guide who loves bush life and is willing to pitch in beyond the game drive seat. The role blends guiding with maintenance duties within a small team, requiring practical, all-rounder mindset.

You will conduct game drives, ensure guest safety, maintain vehicles, and assist with lodge upkeep. A live-in position with meals on duty and provident fund are offered.

Qualifications

• Valid PDP and driver’s license is essential.
• FGASA Level 1 qualification is required.
• First Aid Level 1 certification is required.
• DEAT registration is required.
• Minimum 1 year’s guiding experience is preferred.
• Some maintenance experience is beneficial.
• Reliable, hands-on, and comfortable working as part of a small team.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who genuinely loves life in the bush and is happy to pitch in beyond the game drive seat. The lodge's guides also form part of the maintenance team, so a practical, all-rounder mindset goes a long way here.

Core Criteria

• Valid PDP and driver's license essential

• Valid First Aid Level 1 certification

• Minimum 1 year's guiding experience preferred
• Some maintenance experience beneficial

• Salary: R9,500 negotiable, depending on experience
