Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is advantageous.
• Proven experience as a Fiber Optic Technician or similar role.
• Proficiency with fiber optic splicing and fusion splicers.
• Experience with OTDR, VFL and other testing equipment.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation and termination of fiber optic cables, including splicing and connectorization.
• Conduct testing and analysis of fiber optic networks using OTDR, power meters, and other equipment.
• Diagnose and repair faults within the fiber optic infrastructure.
• Interpret network blueprints and technical diagrams to guide installation and repair efforts.
• Maintain records of all work performed, including test results and installation details.
