Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Fiber Optic Network Planner for Upington, Northern Cape. You will lead survey work, design efficient fiber routes, and ensure designs meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Telecommunications), Geography, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fiber optic network design and planning.
• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and GIS platforms (ArcGIS, QGIS).
• Strong understanding of fiber optic cable types, splicing techniques, testing methods, and network architecture.
• Knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure deployment processes and regulations.
• Excellent spatial reasoning and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and documentation abilities.
• Experience in the Northern Cape, Upington, or similar regional contexts is beneficial.

Responsibilities
