Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geomatics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in fiber optic network planning or design.
  • Proficiency with GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS) for network mapping and analysis.
  • Solid understanding of fiber optic cabling, splicing techniques, and network topologies.
  • Experience reading and interpreting civil engineering plans and permits.
  • Strong project management and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and design optimal routes for new fiber optic network deployments, considering physical constraints and service requirements.
  • Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies to assess network expansion opportunities.
  • Develop detailed network designs, including fiber splicing plans, conduit layouts, and equipment placement.
