Placements24 seeks a Fiber Optic Deployment Manager to lead planning, execution, and delivery of fiber network projects in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You will guide teams and contractors to complete deployments on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.

The role requires 5+ years of experience in large-scale fiber projects, strong fiber tech knowledge, and excellent leadership, negotiation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience managing large-scale fiber optic deployment projects.
• Deep knowledge of fiber optic technologies (splicing, testing, installation).
• Strong grasp of project management principles and PMP-like methodologies.
• Experience leading teams and managing third-party contractors.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficiency with project management software/tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of fiber optic deployment projects from planning to commissioning.
• Develop plans, budgets, timelines and track milestones.
• Supervise internal teams and external contractors ensuring scope, quality and safety compliance.
• Coordinate with authorities, property owners and stakeholders for permits.
• Oversee procurement of materials and equipment and manage vendor relationships.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and results-driven Fiber Optic Deployment Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of fiber optic network build projects in and around Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal . This leadership role demands exceptional project management skills, technical acumen in fiber optics, and the ability to manage teams, contractors, and stakeholders effectively. You will be responsible for ensuring that all deployment activities are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, contributing significantly to expanding the company's fiber network infrastructure and service reach. Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of fiber optic deployment projects, from initial planning and design to construction, testing, and commissioning.
• Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines, and track progress against key milestones.
