Job summary

Exceed Human Resource Consultants is seeking an experienced Vineyard Manager to oversee day-to-day vineyard and farm operations, ensuring high quality grape production and efficient harvests. The role requires hands-on leadership of vineyard teams, compliance with safety standards, and strong collaboration with maintenance and operations staff.

You will monitor soil health, plant nutrition, and pest control while implementing seasonal programmes aligned with production goals.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 with a qualification in Winemaking, Oenology & Viticulture, or an Agricultural Degree/Diploma.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience managing vineyards and farm operations.
  • Strong technical knowledge of vineyard practices, farm machinery, and winemaking processes.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach.
  • Computer literate and able to use standard software for records and reporting.
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime during peak periods such as harvest.
  • Commitment to sustainable farming, safety, and environmental compliance.
