Qualifications

• Excellent communication, training and facilitation skills.
• Ability to work independently and with diverse groups.
• Proficient in data collection and reporting.

About the Role

Our client, a progressive farming cooperative in the Soweto area, is looking for a dedicated Farm Sustainability Coordinator. This role is essential in promoting and implementing sustainable agricultural practices across the cooperative's operations. The Coordinator will work closely with farmers to assess current practices, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to enhance environmental stewardship, resource efficiency, and social responsibility. Key responsibilities include educating farmers on sustainable techniques, facilitating the adoption of eco-friendly methods, and monitoring progress towards sustainability goals. We are seeking a passionate individual with a background in environmental science, sustainable agriculture, or a related field, and a strong commitment to driving positive change within the agricultural community of Gauteng . This is a hands-on role with significant community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sustainability strategies and action plans for the cooperative's farms.
• Educate and train cooperative members on sustainable farming practices, such as water conservation, soil health management, organic farming, and waste reduction.
• Conduct environmental impact assessments and audits of farm operations.

Requirements
