Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Farm Operations Supervisor to oversee daily activities on an agricultural property in East London. You will lead a team of workers, coordinate planting, cultivation, harvesting, and maintenance tasks, and ensure safety and quality across all farm activities.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in farm operations or supervision, strong leadership, and solid agricultural knowledge with the ability to optimize resources and workflows in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Candidate must hold a High School Diploma; further education in Agriculture is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in farm operations or supervision.
• Proven ability to manage a team of agricultural workers; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily work activities of farm laborers and staff.
• Ensure planting, irrigation, pest control, and harvesting follow schedules and best practices.

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and organized Farm Operations Supervisor to oversee the daily activities on their agricultural property located in East London . This role involves managing a team of farm workers, ensuring efficient execution of planting, cultivation, harvesting, and maintenance tasks. You will be responsible for upholding high standards of operational efficiency, safety, and quality across all farm activities. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, practical agricultural experience, and a keen ability to manage resources effectively. This position is crucial for maintaining productivity and ensuring the smooth operation of the farm.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily work activities of farm laborers and other operational staff.
