Placements24 is seeking a Farm Mechanization Specialist near Upington to oversee maintenance, repair, and optimal use of agricultural machinery across our large-scale operations. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and implement preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.

The ideal candidate holds a trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Agricultural Machinery, with at least four years' hands-on experience and strong knowledge of diesel engines,

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Machinery, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in maintaining and repairing agricultural machinery.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems in heavy equipment.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and reading technical manuals/schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on tractors, harvesters, and implements.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all farm equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues affecting machinery performance.
