Placements24 is seeking a skilled Farm Mechanic to maintain and repair agricultural machinery in Paarl. You will diagnose, service, and repair tractors, harvesters, and implements to keep farming operations running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has a trade qualification as a mechanic and at least four years of hands-on experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems, plus the ability to read manuals and schematics.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a mechanic (diesel/agri mechanic)
• 4+ years servicing heavy machinery, preferably agricultural equipment
• Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems
• Ability to read manuals and schematics
• Proficient with diagnostic tools and workshop equipment

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on tractors, harvesters, and farm machinery
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
• Repair and replace worn parts
• Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize breakdowns
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and workshop supplies
• Ensure safety standards during repair and maintenance
