Job summary

Au Pair Extraordinaire in Johannesburg is seeking a PERSONAL ASSISTANT & AU PAIR for a 12-year-old daughter and a 14-year-old son. The role runs Monday–Friday (40 hours/week) with a monthly salary of R16,000–R18,000 plus petrol allowance.

Start mid-January 2027 on a permanent contract, based in Morningside. Responsibilities include general admin support and caring for children, collecting from school, transporting to activities, helping with homework, and feeding back to parents daily or weekly.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience within the last 2 years.
• Must have own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
• Must have 2 contactable childcare references.
• Must have a clear criminal record.
• Must have a passion for children.
• Must have South African ID document.

Responsibilities

• Personal Assistant duties: general administrative and personal tasks (grocery shopping, appointments, errands).
• Au Pair duties: collect children from school, transport to activities, help with homework, arrange playdates, establish routines and provide feedback to parents.
