Job summary

Absa Bank Limited is recruiting a FAIS licensed financial adviser in Cape Town to execute a comprehensive financial planning process. You will perform Financial Needs Analysis, assess client needs, prepare recommendations, and implement solutions under Absa’s advisory framework.

You will maintain compliant practices, manage client relationships, and regularly review portfolios. Strong sales ability and regulatory knowledge are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Perform FAIS-compliant financial planning using a six-step process.
• Conduct Financial Needs Analysis (FNA) covering Investment, Life Insurance and Estate planning.
• Provide recommendations based on client needs using Absa-approved products.
• Maintain Fit & Proper status to offer Absa advisory services.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain professional relationships with clients, staff and product providers.
• Identify opportunities through reciprocal leads and bancassurance structures.
• Prepare and present formal recommendations with quotes.
• Complete client documentation and comply with FAIS, FICA and related regulations.
• Engage with branch, regional management and Everyday Banking stakeholders.
• Review client portfolios annually and adjust plans as needed.
• Progress leads to business and report back on outcomes.
