Job summary

MyCareerCraft in South Africa is seeking a qualified Electrician to join our client factory team. You will inspect, repair, and maintain electrical equipment to keep production running smoothly and minimise downtime.

You will work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and production teams to resolve faults quickly and prevent problems before they occur, while mentoring apprentices and upholding safety compliance on the floor.

Qualifications

• Matric is required and a trade qualification is essential.
• Trade test: Electrician or Millwright (NQF 5) is mandatory.
• Electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
• Basic MS Office skills and SAP/ERP literacy are desired.
• Safety-conscious and reliable with good fault-finding skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults and equipment failures.
• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance inspections.
• Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately.
• Support and mentor apprentices on the floor.
• Follow all safety and compliance procedures at all times.
