Placements24 in Midrand is seeking a highly experienced Senior Sanitation Specialist to oversee and enhance cleaning and sanitation operations across all facilities. This role requires developing, implementing, and maintaining rigorous sanitation standards to ensure a safe, hygienic and compliant working environment.

You will lead a team of cleaning staff, drive operational excellence, and collaborate with health and safety to uphold the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene across all sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role within cleaning and sanitation.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing sanitation protocols.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Certification in facility management or sanitation is a plus.
• Ability to conduct thorough inspections and maintain detailed records.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive sanitation programs and procedures to meet regulatory requirements and company standards.
• Lead, train, and supervise a team of cleaning and sanitation staff, ensuring efficient task allocation and performance management.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address any sanitation deficiencies or potential hazards.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper usage.
• Investigate and resolve sanitation-related issues, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with health and safety officers to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices in Midrand.
