Placements24 is seeking an experienced Facilities Sanitation Manager to lead sanitation operations in Mahikeng, North West. This hands-on role requires developing and overseeing comprehensive sanitation programs across all sites to ensure a safe, healthy, and compliant environment.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, in-depth hygiene knowledge, and the ability to manage resources effectively, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management, sanitation, or environmental health.
• At least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
• In-depth knowledge of cleaning chemicals, sanitation equipment, and best practices.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage a robust facilities sanitation program, including policies, procedures, and standards.
• Oversee daily cleaning operations, ensuring all areas are maintained to the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Lead, train, and manage a team of sanitation staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to assess sanitation effectiveness, identify potential risks, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage the procurement, inventory, and proper usage of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant local, regional, and national sanitation and health regulations.
• Develop and deliver training programs for staff on sanitation best practices, chemical safety, and equipment operation.
• Respond to and manage sanitation-related emergencies and incidents promptly and effectively.
• Collaborate with other department managers to integrate sanitation goals with overall facility operations.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to sanitation activities, staff performance, and compliance.
