Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in sanitation/operations management or related field.
• Proven track record of leading large teams and driving results.
• Strong knowledge of hygiene best practices, cleaning technologies and South Africa health regulations.
• Excellent strategic planning, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and provide financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee sanitation operations across multiple client sites in and around Tembisa.
• Develop and implement strategic hygiene plans and SOPs.
• Mentor and manage supervisors and cleaning staff to uphold excellence and accountability.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation and industry standards.
• Monitor cleaning effectiveness via audits and inspections, and take corrective actions as needed.
• Manage procurement, inventory and efficient use of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to address hygiene requirements and feedback.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets to control costs without compromising quality.
• Train staff on procedures, safety protocols and new cleaning technologies.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends and allocate resources effectively.
