Job summary

Protea Hotels by Marriott is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance staff and ensure the highest standards of hotel facilities management. The role supports the Facilities Manager in daily maintenance operations and guest service standards.

The ideal candidate will have literacy, numeracy, and English language proficiency, plus a Matric and preferably an artisans qualification. Strong leadership and budget control are essential.

Qualifications

• Literacy: Must be fully literate and able to read and interpret policies, procedures and communications.
• Numeracy: Must be fully numerate to be able to perform relative calculations. Must be computer literate.
• Language: English for the purposes of communicating with GUESTS and management.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance portfolio management including communication and implementation of guest service standards.
• Manage and supervise maintenance staff to ensure prompt, professional and courteous service.
• Oversee stock, budgets, capital expenditure projects and energy conservation.
