Job summary

Protea Hotels by Marriott® is seeking a Management-level professional to oversee maintenance across the Rhodesfield property in Johannesburg. You will manage the physical plant, grounds, and assets with emphasis on safety, security and asset protection.

Responsibilities include budgeting, capital projects, preventative maintenance and energy conservation. Lead the emergency response team and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while maintaining guest satisfaction and asset protection

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 4 years of engineering/maintenance experience.
• 2-year degree in Building/Construction, Engineering, Mechanics preferred with 1 year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Manages maintenance operations for building, grounds, and assets with focus on safety, security and asset protection.
• Oversees budgets, capital expenditure projects, preventive maintenance and energy conservation.
• Leads emergency response and ensures regulatory compliance and proper training.
