Job summary

Dipula Income Fund Limited in Rosebank, Johannesburg, is seeking a skilled Facilities Manager to plan, direct and optimise maintenance across the portfolio. You will manage service contracts, coordinate inspections and lead a team to keep buildings, grounds and equipment in peak condition.

The role requires a Diploma or Degree in Building Science or Facilities Management, strong budgeting skills and a track record of tenant relations, safety compliance and cost control in a retail or commercial

Qualifications

• Grade 12 and a Diploma/Degree in Building Science/Facilities Management.
• Demonstrable understanding of property management competencies.
• Knowledge of safety, fire and emergency procedures and the OHSA Act.
• Excellent customer relations and communication skills; strong report writing.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in facilities management.
• Budgeting, cost control and financial awareness.
• Ability to work independently and handle conflict resolution.
• Experience in Shopping Centre / Retail / Commercial settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and direct building maintenance and service contracts.
• Manage tenant relationships and respond to technical queries.
• Conduct inspections and prepare annual building reports.
• Monitor maintenance budgets and control inventory and spares.
• Coordinate safety and compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Ensure timely authorisation of maintenance and service contracts.
• Prepare management reports and feedback for the fund.
• Oversee contractors and ensure timely performance.
• Stay updated on market trends in facilities management.
