Placements24 is seeking a versatile Facilities Engineer to manage and maintain industrial facilities around Vereeniging in Gauteng. You will oversee operational integrity, safety, and efficiency of plant infrastructure, including buildings, utilities, and equipment, while coordinating maintenance schedules and capital projects.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical/civil background with at least 5 years in facilities management or engineering, experience with CMMS, and strong project-management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management or engineering, preferably in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Proven experience managing maintenance operations, including CMMS software.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, utilities (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), and industrial equipment.
• Experience with project management methodologies and contract negotiation.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a versatile Facilities Engineer to manage and maintain their industrial facilities in and around Vereeniging . This role is responsible for the operational integrity, safety, and efficiency of all plant infrastructure, including buildings, utilities, and equipment. You will oversee maintenance schedules, manage capital projects related to facility upgrades, and ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills and a broad understanding of mechanical, electrical, and civil systems within an industrial context, contributing to the smooth operation of facilities in the Gauteng industrial hub.

Key Responsibilities
