MSU Residential and Hospitality Services is seeking an On-Call Facilities Building Worker to perform cleaning duties across bathrooms, halls, stairways, lobbies, dining rooms, and offices. This part-time, on-site position is based at South Facilities (Loc) with a pay rate of $16/hour.

You will dust, mop, wash, and maintain spaces, report damages, and ensure tidiness with minimal supervision. Requirements include strong customer service, reliability, and respect for a diverse population; lifting

Responsabilidades

• Dust mops, vacuums, or sweeps floor areas.
• Wet mops lavatories, bathrooms, and shower areas with lightweight mop.
• Washes window glass, casings, tracks, ledges, and Venetian blinds.
• Shampoos and cleans upholstery on chairs and sofas.
• Re-supplies toilet tissue, towels, and similar items in restrooms, showers, and locker rooms.
• Dusts furniture, office equipment, and surfaces subject to dust accumulation.
• Reports damage, malfunction, or irregularities of the building or equipment to Supervisor.

Location: South Neighborhood-Case, Wilson, Wonders, Holden Hall
Pay Rate: $16/ hour

As an On-Call Facilities Building Worker, you will perform regularly scheduled cleaning duties in areas such as the following: bathrooms, halls, stairways, lobbies, dining rooms, apartments, student rooms, study lounges, pressing rooms, offices, and inside entrance ways.

Typical Duties May Include

• Dust mops, vacuums, or sweeps floor areas.
• Wet mops lavatories, bathrooms, and shower areas with lightweight mop.
• Washes window glass, casings, tracks, ledges, and Venetian blinds.
• Painting of walls, doors, stairwells, ceilings etc.
• Spot washes walls to remove such items as splash marks around sinks and fingerprints from light switches.
• Shampoos and cleans upholstery on chairs and sofas.
• Re-supplies toilet tissue, towels, and similar items in restrooms, showers, and locker rooms.
• Empties and cleans wastepaper baskets.
• Dusts furniture, office equipment, and surfaces subject to dust accumulation.
• Turns in lost and found articles to Supervisor.
• Cleans and clears trash from building entrances, sweeps or shovels snow from building entrances.
• Reports damage, malfunction, or irregularities of the building or equipment to Supervisor.
• Cleans and replaces cleaning equipment and supplies at end of work period.
