Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a Data Acquisition Specialist - External Data (Remote/Homebased) to lead the setup and ingestion of external data streams for clinical trials. You will liaise with data stakeholders, develop Data Transfer Agreements, and ensure data quality and regulatory compliance across diverse, global teams.

The role requires 3+ years in clinical data management, SDTM knowledge, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field; Computer Science preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience managing data in clinical research.
• Experience with external data (Safety Lab, PK, biomarkers, ECG, etc.).
• Experience coordinating with external data providers in a clinical study setting.
• Experience developing data transfer agreements.
• Experience working on clinical trials.
• Experience in diverse, cross-functional, multi-regional teams.
• Knowledge of SDTM and working knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Execute deliverables for standardized external data streams.
• Plan external data stream setup to meet study timelines.
• Liaise with data stakeholders to define data transfer requirements and data structure.
• Create change requests for new data concepts or structures.
• Develop trial-specific Data Transfer Agreements documenting data transfer requirements.
• Ensure data transfer frequencies meet study requirements and monitoring needs.
• Coordinate with external data providers to confirm tsDTA alignment.
• Translate medical concepts into data mapping guidance for Clinical programmers.
• Perform UAT of data transfers to ensure accuracy with data specs.
