Job summary

FirstRand, the parent of FNB and RMB, seeks an External Sales and Service Advisor to deliver exceptional customer experiences by tailoring value-added banking solutions in a fast-paced environment. You will manage leads, build client relationships, and guide clients through the application process while adhering to governance and regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes end-to-end client management, market awareness, and proactive business development with a focus on meeting sales targets

Qualifications

• Completion of FSCA FAIS NQF Level 5 qualification
• Completion of First Level Regulatory Examination
• Credit record check required under NCA

Responsibilities

• Apply appropriate sales processes within area of responsibility to achieve sales targets and build client relationships.
• Maintenance of expert knowledge on specific products, pricing, application procedure, processing, and timelines to drive sales targets.
• Understand governance requirements in terms of legislation and audit requirements.
• Retrieve qualified leads from internal pipeline and contact existing or new customers to generate a sale.
• Source new leads through external contacts and other channels to increase customer base.
• Contact prospective clients and sell banking products to achieve sales targets.
• Deliver end-to-end client management: engage with client through milestones, facilitate application, prepare proposals, manage dependencies, close the deal and handle post-sale queries.
• Analyze competitor information and monitor market trends and influences.
• Identify new business opportunities impacting the industry.
• Track and influence sales activities to meet targets with quality, productivity, and sales requirements.
• Invest in own development to increase competencies.
