Job summary

Sasol is seeking a production operator to assemble electric initiation systems on a manual assembly machine within our Regional Operations and Asset Services group. You will perform soldering, crimping, testing and packaging, following lot travellers and safety standards.

The role requires Grade 12, and at least 12 months in explosives manufacturing; Maths/Science are an advantage. You must be able to work full shifts, overtime, and maintain accuracy under pressure, with good English

Qualifications

• Grade 12 required; maths and science will be an advantage.
• At least 12 months experience in explosives manufacturing is preferred.
• Experience with Water gel-CBS is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Test the e-boards and assemble per lot traveller requirements.
• Soldering and crimping to the cable assembly; ensure quality checks.
• Package finished units and perform stock counts in the production area.
• Maintain production graphs and update lot travellers daily.
• Work with minimal supervision while upholding safety and integrity standards.
