Placements24 is recruiting an Underwriter for the personal lines department in Polokwane. The role focuses on assessing and pricing risks for homeowners, auto, and other personal policies to support growth in Limpopo.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical and decision-making abilities, excellent communication, and is familiar with SA regulatory requirements. Based in Polokwane, you will work in a dynamic insurance team and contribute to ongoing underwriting policy improvements.

Competenze

• A relevant diploma or degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years underwriting experience, preferably in personal lines.
• Solid understanding of insurance principles and risk assessment for personal lines.
• Knowledge of SA insurance market and regulatory environment.

Mansioni

• Evaluate personal lines insurance applications (household, motor, travel).
• Assess risks based on guidelines, data analysis, and judgment.
• Determine premiums and terms for approved policies.
• Communicate with brokers, agents, and policyholders on status and decisions.
