Job summary

ZealHR in Cape Town is seeking an Experienced Operations Consultant to support our retail investment platform. You will validate and process client transactions within regulatory guidelines, engage with clients, advisers and administrators, and help resolve queries to maintain service quality.

The role requires a minimum of four years in investment administration and solid knowledge of FICA, FAIS, FATCA and POPIA, plus strong MS Office proficiency and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years’ investment administration experience in Unit Trust, LISP, Retirement and/or Employee Benefits industry.
• Sound knowledge of FICA, FAIS, FATCA and POPIA.
• Experience processing instructions such as new investments, switches, transfers, withdrawals or estate late accounts.

Introduction Operations consultants play a key role in upholding the operational quality that supports the company’s retail investment offering. Work in this space includes validating and processing clients’ financial transactions within a regulated framework, engaging with clients, advisers and administrators to ensure compliance, resolving queries and more.

With over five decades of investing experience, the company focuses on generating long-term wealth for their clients, who include individuals, retirement funds, insurers, trusts, companies and foundations. Their clients invest through their focused range of unit trusts, retirement products and life insurance investment pools or in segregated portfolios across both the Institutional and Retail business.

Experience and competencies

• A minimum of four years’ investment administration experience within the Unit Trust, LISP, Retirement and/or Employee Benefits industry.
• Sound knowledge of FICA, FAIS, FATCA and POPIA
• Experience in processing one or more of the below instructions:

• - New investment instructions and client onboarding - Switches - Transfers (e.g. Section 14) - Withdrawal and/or claim instructions (divorce, death, retirement, resignation, etc.) - Estate Late accounts

• A track record in accuracy, compliance and operational excellence
• Client focused with good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organisational skills
• Able to function in a fast paced and high-pressure environment
• Proficiency in MS Office
