Placements24 is seeking a Senior Creative Director in Johannesburg to spearhead immersive entertainment projects. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, shape creative strategy, and push the boundaries of art and narrative using AR/VR and interactive installations.

We seek a proven leader with a strong portfolio, excellent communication, and expertise in budgeting and timelines for ambitious productions that engage diverse audiences in South Africa and beyond.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience in creative leadership roles within arts, entertainment, or interactive media.
• Directing and producing immersive experiences, interactive installations, or large-scale digital art projects.
• Strong portfolio showing conceptual thinking, visual storytelling, and execution across media.
• Proficiency with AR, VR, and emerging technologies, and ability to articulate their potential.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to inspire creative teams.
• Experience managing budgets and timelines for complex creative projects.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Fine Arts, Design, Media Arts or related field.

Responsabilités

• Conceptualize and direct the creative vision for new immersive entertainment projects from ideation to final execution.
• Lead and mentor a diverse team of artists, designers, writers, and technologists.
• Collaborate with technical teams to integrate AR/VR and interactive installations.
• Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources with production teams.
• Present concepts and updates to stakeholders, clients, and executives with clarity and conviction.
• Ensure high artistic quality, innovation, and audience engagement across Johannesburg projects.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in arts and entertainment.
