Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a visionary Creative Director to lead its team in Rustenburg, guiding immersive experiences across VR, AR, and interactive installations. You will translate concepts into compelling narratives and oversee the creative process from ideation to delivery.

The successful candidate will mentor designers, artists and developers, drive artistic integrity, and stay ahead of emerging technologies while collaborating with clients and stakeholders to meet project goals.

Qualifications

Extensive experience leading creative teams in digital media, gaming, or entertainment.
Proven track record delivering immersive experiences (VR/AR/interactive) with strong portfolio.
Deep understanding of storytelling, user experience design, and interactive systems.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to lead diverse teams.
Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
Ability to inspire and guide cross-disciplinary teams.
Familiarity with current technologies for immersive content creation.
A degree in Fine Arts, Design, CS, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Strategic thinking and ability to translate concepts into concrete plans.

Responsibilities

Define and articulate the overall creative vision and strategy for immersive projects.
Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary creative team of designers, artists, writers, and developers.
Oversee conceptualization, design, and execution of interactive experiences from start to finish.
Ensure artistic quality and narrative coherence across all deliverables.
Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and partners to align direction with goals.
Stay at the forefront of tech and creative trends in immersive media.
Develop and refine creative processes and pipelines for efficiency and innovation.
Present concepts and project updates to internal and external stakeholders.
Manage creative budgets and timelines effectively.
Foster a culture of experimentation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
