The ideal candidate has at least 3 years as a Housekeeping Manager in a 4/5-star setting, strong staff-management skills and a passion for service excellence. Attractive gross salary and housing accommodation are offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience as a Housekeeping Manager in a 4/5-star establishment.
• Luxury Lodge experience highly beneficial.
• Experience managing and training housekeeping staff.
• Knowledge of stock control, procurement, products and supplies.
• Strong hygiene standards and attention to detail.
• Computer literate with good MS Office knowledge.
• Excellent command of English, both verbal and written.

Introduction – Executive Housekeeper, Luxury Lodge

Hospitality and Outdoor is seeking an experienced Executive Housekeeper for an exclusive luxury lodge in Mossel Bay. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly professional Housekeeping Manager with a strong background in 4/5-star hospitality to lead the housekeeping operation and ensure exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation and guest service.

The successful Executive Housekeeper will take responsibility for the management of the housekeeping department, including guest rooms, public areas and multiple laundry facilities. The role requires a hands‑on and organised Manager who can lead and develop staff, implement departmental standards, manage procurement and stock, and maintain consistent service excellence throughout the Lodge.

Strong communication with lodge management and staff is essential, together with the ability to handle HR-related responsibilities, monitor departmental budgets, identify maintenance issues and ensure that all rooms and public areas meet the required luxury hospitality standards.

Job Requirements – Executive Housekeeper, Luxury Lodge

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Housekeeping Manager in a 4/5-star establishment – Essential.
• Previous luxury Lodge experience highly beneficial.
• Sound knowledge of housekeeping, laundry and public area service procedures.
• Experience managing and training housekeeping staff.
• Knowledge or experience with Semper – Highly advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of stock control, procurement, products and supplies.
• Sound understanding of hygiene standards.
• Computer literate with good MS Office knowledge.
• Excellent command of English, both verbal and written.
• Friendly, warm personality with strong staff-management skills.
• Professional, well-groomed presentation and solid work history.
• Strong organisational, administrative and budget-control abilities.

Package – Executive Housekeeper, Luxury Lodge

• R40,000–R50,000 Gross per month.
• Offsite accommodation / housing allowance provided.
