Placements24 seeks a seasoned General Manager to lead Vereeniging-based operations in Gauteng, overseeing production, supply chain, finance and HR to drive profitability and strategic growth.

The ideal candidate has 12–15 years of senior leadership in industrial manufacturing/engineering, with a proven P&L track record and a talent for building high‑performing teams and ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 12–15 years of progressive leadership experience in industrial manufacturing or engineering.
• Proven success in P&L management, strategic planning, and profitable growth.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain, finance, and market dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Assume full P&L responsibility for the business unit, driving revenue growth and profitability in line with strategic targets.
• Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies, operational plans, and market development initiatives.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, including manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, sales, and finance, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing management team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, environmental compliance, and ethical conduct.
• Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, market trends, and strategic partnerships.
• Manage budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation to maximize financial returns.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all functional areas, leveraging best practices and innovative solutions.
• Represent the company in dealings with key stakeholders, clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
• Report on business performance, strategic progress, and future outlook to the board and executive leadership.
