Job summary

MVG Recruitment is seeking an Executive CA(SA) for a 6-12 month on-site contract in North Johannesburg to take control of complex group finance deliverables, drive audit close-out, and resolve IFRS issues from day one. The successful candidate will lead group close processes, own IFRS matters, produce management reports with variances and trends, and develop three-statement models and rolling cash flows.

Immediates availability is preferred, with a proven track record in multi-entity

Qualifications

• CA(SA) with 10+ years PQE and senior group finance leadership.
• Proven track record in closing complex group audits and resolving IFRS matters.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability.
• Experience with multi-entity consolidation and intercompany transactions.
• Experience reviewing corporate tax returns.
• Ability to operate independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Immediate availability or short-notice commencement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and finalise group financial close processes and Annual Financial Statements.
• Own all IFRS technical matters, providing authoritative interpretation.
• Drive audit close-out across multiple subsidiaries, managing PBC items, resolving findings with external auditors.
• Produce sharp, insight-rich management reporting including variance analysis and performance trends.
• Build and enhance integrated three-statement financial models and rolling cash-flow forecasts.
• Develop advanced pricing, profitability, scenario and DCF models to support strategic initiatives.
• Support tax computations and review corporate tax submissions.
• Strengthen finance processes, improve controls, and execute high-priority strategic finance projects.
