Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• A positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderate weight.
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by event schedules in Gauteng.
• Must reside in or have reliable transportation to Soweto and surrounding areas.
• A friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Passion for contributing to successful events.

Responsibilities

• Assist with event setup, including arranging tables, chairs, and decor according to event plans.
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Provide attentive and friendly service to guests throughout events.
• Assist with replenishing food and beverage stations as needed.
• Clear tables and maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the event space.
• Assist with the breakdown and cleanup of event venues post-event.
• Support the catering team with various tasks as directed by the event supervisor.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines during all activities.
• Respond to guest requests and inquiries promptly and efficiently.
• Represent the company professionally and positively in the Soweto community.
