Job summary

SafetyCloud (SafetySA) is seeking an Ergonomist to deliver specialised occupational health and safety consultancy across mining, manufacturing, logistics and office environments. As a competent person under Regulation 1 of SA Ergonomics Regulations, you will identify, assess and mitigate ergonomic risks to help clients comply with OHSA and reduce MSDs.

Responsibilities include conducting Ergonomics Risk Assessments (ERAs) per Regulation 6, applying RULA/REBA/NIOSH methods, developing programmes,

Qualifications

• Identify, assess and mitigate ergonomic risks in diverse environments.
• Apply validated ergonomic assessment methods and standards.
• Develop and implement structured Ergonomics Management Programmes.
• Provide training and capacity-building on ergonomic practices.
• Deliver technical reports with risk ratings and action plans.

Responsibilities

• Ergonomic Risk Assessments (ERAs) across mining, manufacturing, logistics, and offices.
• Design and implement practical risk controls based on the hierarchy of controls.
• Develop and manage Ergonomics Programmes for client organisations.
• Deliver awareness campaigns and task-specific training.
• Monitor effectiveness and report on improvements for leadership.
