Placements24 is seeking an Environmental Scientist to manage environmental compliance for mining operations near Richards Bay in KwaZulu-Natal. You will lead EMPs, EIAs, and monitoring programs to ensure adherence to regulations and company policy.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, at least five years in mining environmental management, knowledge of SA environmental legislation, and strong reporting and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Earth Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental management, with a focus on the mining sector.
• In-depth knowledge of South African environmental legislation and permitting processes.
• Experience with environmental monitoring techniques and data analysis.
• Strong reporting and communication skills.
