Placements24 is seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to join their Randburg team in a hybrid role combining fieldwork, site assessments and remote office work.

You will conduct EIAs/EMPs, develop pollution control and remediation strategies, and ensure compliance with SA environmental legislation. Strong communication and data-analysis skills are essential for success in a dynamic, client-facing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in environmental consulting or engineering.
• Registration as a Professional Scientist (Pr Sci Nat) or Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) desirable.
• Strong knowledge of South African environmental legislation and permitting processes.
• Experience with environmental modeling and monitoring techniques.
• Excellent communication, report writing, and problem-solving skills for a hybrid work environment.
