Job summary

Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd is seeking an Environmental Officer (Fixed Term Contract) based in Mpumalanga. The role focuses on liaising with site stakeholders to coordinate environmental activities and ensure compliance with environmental specifications across the project group.

The position requires knowledge of environmental legislation and EMS ISO 14001, with a valid driver’s license and at least 3 years in environmental management.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in Environmental Management field.
• National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Exposure to Environmental Legislation and EMS ISO 14001 is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Compliance assessment and management.
• Evaluation of contractor’s management plans, method statements and work instructions.
• Engage with and manage contractors.
• Assist in compiling weekly and monthly environmental reports.
• SHEQ adherence.
