Job summary

Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd is seeking an Environmental Management professional to execute EMS and manage environmental compliance within its Gauteng operations. The role focuses on implementing ISO 14001 systems, securing environmental approvals, and conducting investigations.

The position requires a Diploma/National Diploma in Natural Science or Environmental Management and at least three years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma/National Diploma in Natural Science/Environmental Management at NQF 6 with 240 credits.
• Three related years of experience in environmental management.
• Ability to link technical and legal aspects related to environmental compliance issues.
• Environmental impact assessments and approvals processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide support by implementing and executing ISO 14001 environmental management system and related procedures in the designated areas of the business.
• Ensure compliance to legislative and governance requirements through the implementation of compliance measures.
• Execute the process for obtaining environmental approvals for environmental authorization, waste, water usage, atmospheric emission licenses and tree cutting permits.
• Implement and monitor environmental management plans.
• Perform environmental investigations.
