Job summary

Sabenza IT & Recruitment is seeking an Intermediate Software Developer to contribute to the development, maintenance and support of enterprise Java applications and integrations in a telecommunications environment. The role focuses on ensuring reliable messaging and data flows between systems and providing production support.

You will work with J2EE, Spring and integration technologies such as Apache Camel and RabbitMQ/ActiveMQ, write SQL queries and operate in Linux environments, with emphasis

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong Java / J2EE experience, used in production applications.
• Strong Spring experience.
• SQL experience, including writing and optimising queries.
• Linux experience.
• Experience with enterprise application development.
• Experience with integration technologies.
• Experience with RabbitMQ and/or ActiveMQ.
• Apache Camel experience.
• Good understanding of software development practices, including testing, code review and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance Java-based applications.
• Work with J2EE and Spring frameworks.
• Develop and maintain enterprise integrations.
• Build and support integration routes with Apache Camel.
• Develop and maintain messaging integrations using RabbitMQ and/or ActiveMQ.
• Write and optimise SQL queries.
• Work within Linux environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application and production issues.
• Participate in testing, code reviews and deployments.
• Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Ensure applications are stable, scalable and maintainable.
• Support existing services while delivering enhancements, so changes do not break downstream flows.
• Document changes, configuration and handover notes so another developer can support the work.
