Job summary

Western Cape Government seeks an Assistant Director: Enterprise Development to support entrepreneurship, enterprise development and innovation in the Western Cape. The role focuses on crafting initiatives that boost small business access to finance and non-financial support, expanding market access, and strengthening partnerships for business services and funding leverage.

Based in Cape Town, the post requires collaboration with multiple departments to improve the business enabling environment

Qualifications

Knowledge of Economics and statistics application.
Understanding of public administration and regulatory requirements.
Project management experience.
Ability to use computer software programmes.

Responsibilities

Support development of initiatives to enable small business access to non-financial and financial support.
Support market access initiatives for small businesses.
Facilitate partnerships to provide business development services and leverage funding.
Support entrepreneurship initiatives (social and business).
Help improve the enabling environment for business through government interaction.
Identify gaps and blockages for service delivery and refer to the right components.
