Job summary

Amazon is hiring a Solutions Architect to engage with South African Enterprise customers to transform their business with AI and Cloud technologies. You will analyze portfolios, design cloud-native architectures, and partner with AWS teams to deliver scalable, cost-effective solutions.

You will engage with CxOs, Directors, Architects, Developers and Engineers, bridging technology and business value while continuing to drive cloud adoption across industries.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of technology domain experience (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• 2+ years designing, implementing, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 5+ years IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.

Responsibilities

• In partnership with the Business Development team, formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS.
• As a key member of the solutions architecture team, ensure success in building, migrating and modernising applications on the AWS cloud and AI platform.
• Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
• Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS Solutions Architect community.
• Contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as white papers.
• Act as a technical liaison between customers, Service Teams and Support.
