Job summary

Mediclinic International is seeking an Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary for the Emergency Centre in Paarl. The role focuses on delivering safe, basic nursing care under the Scope of Practice while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

You will contribute to patient safety and experience, maintain accurate nursing records, and participate in ongoing learning to enhance staff competence. This is a permanent, on-site position with the closing date approaching.

Qualifications

• Infection prevention and control practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and application.
• Understanding regulations regarding the Scope of Practice for Nurses and Midwives.
• Familiarity with the scientific nursing process.
• Competence in standard nursing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver basic nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Identify, prevent and report risks to ensure patient safety.
• Contribute to a positive patient experience by assisting in a therapeutic environment.
• Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
• Participate in creating a learning environment that builds staff competence.
• Ensure that all utilized stock and equipment are accurately charted.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
