Job summary

Qualifications

• Enrolled Nurse must be registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Enrolled Nurse qualification and current SANC registration.
• Post-Op nursing experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of Infection Control and Prevention.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, control and replenish stock as needed.
• Support patients on arrival and pre-/post-operatively.
• Monitor physiological and physical parameters.
• Provide care until recovery from anaesthesia and/or surgery.
• Assess recovery for discharge readiness.
• Ensure infection control and standard precautions are followed.
• Maintain a safe and clean operating environment.
• Document and evaluate patient care plans.
