Job summary

Green Marble Recruitment Consultants is seeking a qualified engineer to lead multi-discipline projects in the chemical, petrochemical and energy sectors from Secunda, Mpumalanga. You will develop execution plans, identify resources, and coordinate engineering functions to ensure contract obligations are met.

The role requires a strong C&I background with electrical exposure; NEC3 contracting experience is preferred. A self-starter with good people skills and MS Office proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum B.Eng degree and multi-discipline project exposure.
• Experience in Chemical, Petrochemical and Energy industries preferred.
• Experience coordinating multi-discipline engineering functions.
• Strong C&I background; electrical background advantageous.
• Familiarity with NEC 3 contracting formats preferred.
• Self-starter with people skills; formal PM training an advantage.
• Valid Code B/EB driver's license; proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop project execution plans aligned with contract requirements.
• Identify and appoint all project resources including sub-contractors.
• Coordinate engineering functions to meet obligations.
• Procurement interfacing and contract management.
• Produce management/progress reports as requested.
• Maintain strong client and colleague relationships.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum technical qualification of B.Eng degree.
• Engineers with experience preferably with multi-discipline project or engineering exposure in the Chemical, Petrochemical and Energy industry.
• Experience working on multi-discipline projects.
• Strong background in Control & Instrumentation (C&I) and Electrical will be advantageous.
• Experience in typical contracting formats (NEC 3 preferred).
• Self-starter with people skills will be advantageous.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Formal project management training/coursework/education will be an advantage.
• Valid Code B/EB driver’s license.

Duties:

• Develop project execution plans in line with contract requirements.
• Identify and appoint all resources (including sub-contracted services) for each project.
• Ensure coordination of all resources and functions to meet contract obligations.
• Coordinate engineering functions.
• Procurement and commercial interfacing with proper contract management.
• Management and progress reports as requested.
• Maintain good relationships with colleagues and clients.
• Assisting with the advancement of business development.
• Engagement with existing and prospective clients to ensure continuity of work.
