Job summary

Part of nGAGE Talent Limited seeks an experienced Technical Manager to lead a multidisciplinary engineering team delivering complex EPC/EPCM projects across energy, water and environmental sectors in Johannesburg. You will guide studies, FEED, design and execution from concept through commissioning.

The role combines engineering leadership with commercial strategy, tendering and client engagement, driving engineering excellence and business growth across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process, Electrical or related Engineering discipline.
• Professional registration or eligibility for registration will be advantageous.
• Extensive experience delivering complex industrial EPC or EPCM projects.
• Strong multidisciplinary engineering background across process, mechanical, electrical and control systems.
• Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams and large capital projects.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience supporting tenders, proposals and client engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers and technical specialists.
• Provide technical direction across engineering studies, FEED, detailed design and EPC project execution.
• Ensure engineering deliverables are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the highest technical standards.
• Mentor and develop technical teams while promoting engineering best practice.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the complete project lifecycle and support construction, commissioning.
• Lead tendering and business development activities through technical proposals and client engagement.
• Manage engineering budgets, project costs and technical resources; review subcontractor proposals.
